APPA TWO by SDS Endo is a cutting-edge glass ionomer restorative cement, formulated to deliver superior strength, durability, and biocompatibility. With a powder composed of Fluoroaluminosilicate Glass Powder, Modificator, and Dye, and a liquid component of Polyacrylic acid, Maleic acid, and Tartaric acid, APPA TWO provides exceptional bonding to tooth tissues. Its high strength of 190 MPa ensures reliable restorations, while its impressive resistance to acid erosion (less than 0.002 mm/h) adds to its longevity and stability.

One of the key features of APPA TWO is its ability to chemically bond with dentin calcium through Polyacrylic acid, resulting in excellent adhesion and an impeccable marginal fit. Additionally, the fluoride-releasing glass filler offers long-term protection against cavities, making this restorative cement ideal for a variety of dental procedures, including cavity restoration, fissure sealing, and lining for composite restorations.

Designed for versatility, APPA TWO is suitable for filling Class I, II, and V cavities, the ART technique, and primary teeth restoration. It boasts a quick hardening time of 4-5 minutes and offers easy mixing, ensuring an efficient workflow for dental professionals.

DIRECTIONS OF USE

Surface Preparation

  1. Ensure the tooth is prepared, cleaned, and dried.
  2. Apply a conditioner to the surface with a cotton ball or sponge.
  3. Clean the cavity with water after 10-15 seconds, leaving a glossy surface.
  4. Avoid over-drying the cavity to maintain the integrity of the tooth tissue.

Mixing

  1. Shake the powder jar before use.
  2. Mix one scoop of powder with one drop of liquid on a mixing pad or glass plate.
  3. Use a plastic or metal spatula to mix at room temperature (18-23°C) for 30-45 seconds until smooth and homogeneous.

Working and Hardening

  1. Apply the mixed cement to the cavity within 2.0-2.5 minutes of mixing.
  2. Shape the restoration and remove any excess material carefully.
  3. The cement hardens fully within 4-5 minutes from the start of mixing.

Final Filling Treatment

  1. After hardening, apply a thin layer of varnish to the restoration and dry slightly with air.
  2. Polish the filling using polishing pastes after 10 minutes.
  3. Advise the patient to avoid eating for 2 hours after the procedure.

Safety Precautions

  • Close the container tightly after each use.
  • In case of contact with eyes, skin, or oral tissues, wash immediately with water.
